Live On Your Own

One card.
Eleven stations. A day where money gets real — and every number is handled for them.

Campers walk in with a paycheck and walk out understanding what it costs to live. They make the choices; the system keeps the books.

The experience

How a camper lives the day

No spreadsheets, no mental math, no waiting in line while a volunteer adds things up. Just decisions — and consequences.

1A numbered camper card

They get a card

A numbered card with a QR that is both their identity and their money — $2,500 take-home and $1,000 already in savings.

2The Money Cent$ journey

Giving comes first

The first stop is Charitable Giving. They choose freely, with nothing asked in return. What that choice sets in motion, they find out later.

3Apartment options

Then rent comes due

Studio, one bedroom, or the two bedroom they can split with a roommate for half. The first real trade-off of the day.

4Choosing a car

The car teaches debt

Ride share, used, economy — or the one everybody wants. It arrives with a payment, a down payment, and a loan that follows them all day.

5Groceries and eating out

Eleven stations, real prices

Food, insurance, utilities, phone, child and pet care, entertainment — every station a real menu. They scan, they choose, the balance moves.

6The awards ceremony

Audit, then the ceremony

Halfway through, an auditor walks them through their own numbers. At the end: net worth, five awards, and the charity the camp voted to support.

Open the screen for your job

Three screens run the whole day. Each one asks for its own access key.

Keys live on the printed instruction sheet handed to the camp lead — one for administration, one for check-in, and one shared by all station volunteers. Keep the administration key with the lead only.
